Great presentation of how different networks have different positions in different countries and how much we spend on social networking. I really thought about this and I came to this conclusion that facebook is a great social tool and it will expand even more however I feel twitter is the one to look out for. When it comes to facebook we already know the people that we are adding however with twitter we are interacting with people that we don’t necessary know and that defines the true meaning of social networking.
In a recent comment by Steve Jobs he mentioned that most companies that produce smart phone have problems with their receptions, even Samsung and Motorola suffer from the same issues. These comments were highly criticised by both companies and Motorola’s advert sports a clear message “No jacket required”, clearly aiming at iPhones 4 bumper case which helps to prevent a signal loss. This is an important time for Motorola as I havn’t seen any of their phones for the past few years, specially smart or business phones. This is set to be a great publicity for this brand as it aims to make a comeback. However the reviews that DRIOD X( new model) has been given , it projects an indication that this phone may repeat the success of Razr.
I know in some of my articles I have moaned about the level of creativity with QR codes… but now I take it all back, with a little bit of thinking you can make them looking more creative , well to a certain degree… check out the video about what QR codes can do in terms of engaging the masses.
I was thinking the other day about the use of QR codes in organised events and an idea came up in my head. In events or seminars we always wonder who is who… now if you wore a t-shirt with a QR codes printed on your back, that could give info to other individuals about who you are and what company your representing.
Now I understand you can’t make everyone wear a t-shirt with a QR code printed on their back but if you are a new company and like to establish yourself within your industry then it would be a great idea if all employees wore a t-shir with some info about them and the company! I can see it to be massive audience-pull. Do you agree?
on July 20th 2010, passengers from Heathrow to Edinburgh flight were able to checkin using their iPhone. The phone checkin service has been available for two years however their new app allows passengers to generate QR codes and checkin to avoid any long queues. this app also includes a view of upcoming bookings, access to your Executive Club account, ability to search arrival and departure information as well as access to BA’s mobile site and Twitter stream.
I’ve seen this concept before but this time mini have taken it to a new level. To get maximum exposure Mini had printed the advert in three popular German automotive magazines. All you need is a webcam and the advert itself! see it for yourself…
This is what guy at setjapan.com came up with… this was an advertising campaign for “Frisk” mint, which holds the No1 share market in Japan. The QR code is made out of mint tablets and appreantly it even works when you try to scan it.
Now I am not sure about you but everyday when I get off that train, my legs automatically carry me to Caffè Nero outside Euston station. This morning it came to my mind that we always see new colourful and funky packaging for different products but when it comes to coffee mugs they are all the same , its either the material or the shape that changes so I decided to spend 15 minutes to find out what is out there…. now I was looking for takeaway cups but didn’t find much but instead I found these mugs.
I was lucky enough to be at the Grand Prix this year. It was my first time and I tell you what it was one of the best weekends I have ever had. If you like watching it on TV then you will love seeing in on the track, the noise is just so incredible and so loud.
This year Vodafone had sponsored the biggest VIP venue at Silverstone and each member had given a VIP pass. What i want to discuss in this post are the VIP passes, just pure genius …. they had cut up Lewis Hamilton’s driving suit( worn at the 2010 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain) into very small pieces and put it inside a plastic casing attached to the pass. Now who knows if it was actually his suit that they had used but people were just wearing them with such pride. I have also put on some more pics for you guys to see.
